We run a programme of courses following school term times for children and young people from complete beginners to improvers and those who are at the top of their game.

Courses include :

MiniMovers – Pre-school Gymnastics for children aged 2 – 4 years. Children participate in fun Action, Balance and Co-ordination activities that teach simple skills on real gymnastics apparatus, providing a solid foundation for school-aged gymnastics coaching later on.
Children earn badges and medals (including BG awards), working at their own pace within our structured syllabus.
Parental involvement necessary. Qualified gymnastics coaches. Courses follow the six school terms.

6 sessions, – Each Friday – £45

Gymnastics – For school-aged children. Older children join courses for Year 1 & 2, or Year 3 & older, and are grouped byyear groups. Some children may be asked to join the ‘Invite Only’ class for those showing particular aptitude.
Children work towards BG awards, incorporating skills on different pieces of apparatus, working at their own pace within our structured syllabus. Courses follow the six school terms, and a week’s priority booking is given to those enrolled on courses. A waiting list operates for those wishing to start classes, which is reviewed each term.
Gymnastics takes place on Sunday afternoons.

Junior Trampoline – School age children can learn the basic skills, before moving on to the next course.

Junior Squash Coaching – For young people aged 8-16 years. The adult Squash squad coaches give coaching for all abilities as an introduction to this exciting game.

More Swimming Courses

We run a programme of courses following school term times for children and young people from complete beginners to improvers and those who are at the top of their game.

Courses include :

Swim a Song – For parents with babies from 6-36 months, this instructor led session will help you to build your confidence in taking your little one into the water, without older children splashing!

Ducklings – Very young children from 3-5 years, with a parent, are introduced to the aquatic environment and pleasures of water.

Stage 1 – (Water Skills 1) Children aged 5+ will develop safety awareness, the class scenario, basic movement skills and water confidence. Swimmers may use aids such as arm bands and floats.

Stage 2 – (Water Skills 2) Children aged 5+ will develop safe entries to the water, including jumping in, basic floating, travel and rotation unaided to regain upright positions. Swimmers may use aids such as arm bands and floats.

Stage 3 – (Learn to Swim) Developing safe entries including submersion, travel up to 10m on the front and back, progress rotation skills and water safety knowledge.

Stage 4 – (Improver 1) Develop the understanding of buoyancy through a range of skills, refining kicking technique for all strokes, and swimming 10m to a given standard as directed by the ASA.

Stage 5 – (Improver 1) Develop ‘watermanship’ through sculling and treading water skills, and complete rotation, also performing all strokes to the given standard as directed by the ASA.

Stage 6 – (Improver 2) Develop effective swimming skills including coordination breathing; developing the water safety aspects and understanding of preparation for exercise.

Stage 7 – (Improver Plus) Develop quality stroke technique up to 100m, incorporating skills learnt and combing them to develop a linked routine and complete successfully an obstacle course that combines a variety of skills accomplished throughout stages 1-7. Plus learn the basics of diving.

Adult Beginners and Improvers – Adults benefit from instruction in our teaching pool, improving confidence in the water and gain the ability to swim on their front and back.

More Skiing Courses

All ski awards are for juniors aged 7-16 years.

Courses include :

Ski Awards Level 1 – Is for beginners, who will learn the basic techniques to enable moving up and down the slope and preparing to move on to Level 2 & 3.

Ski Awards Level 2 – Further develop your skills and learn to successfully turn whilst snowploughing.

Ski Awards Level 3 – Develop a quality plough technique, showing progression into the parallel stage and descending through a slalom course.
