Terms and Conditions for Memberships

  • Your membership will begin on the start date specified.
  • A valid direct debit mandate form must be completed in full unless the cash payment option is taken.
  • The membership by direct debit is a minimum of 6 months. Failure to complete the minimum term agreement will require a repayment of the discount given.
  • Your membership is personal to you.

    Cancelling Your Membership:

  • As a direct debit member, you must give at least one calendar month’s notice of the date you wish to cancel your membership. This must be done in writing, followed by cancellation of your direct debit at your bank, once the final payment has been made.

    The rules of Folkestone Sports Centre are enacted so that all those using the facilities may do so in a safe and secure manner. Your application for membership indicates your full acceptance of the prevailing rules at the time of your application. Any rule changes or additions will be communicated to all members accordingly.

    Members are to conduct themselves in a well-mannered fashion at all times. Members will be required to show their cards in order to access the facilities on every visit. Members should be dressed appropriately for the activity which they are undertaking.

    You must not use any equipment until you have been shown or you are already confident in its use. If you are unsure, always ask a member of staff for assistance. You must not take part in any physical activity for which you may not be fit. You are responsible for monitoring your own condition during an activity. If you have any concerns about your physical condition you must stop the activity and consult your doctor without delay. Any changes in your physical condition that could be affected by exercise must be communicated to a fitness instructor to allow for your exercise programme/routine to be revised accordingly.

    Should any member breach any of the rules, or act in a manner likely to cause offence to other users, management reserves the right to take any reasonable action, including suspension from the facilities or withdrawal and cancellation of the membership.

    The centre reserves the right to cancel or amend any activity.
